I was taken on as a lecturer teaching 'Economics of the European Union' on the University of Delaware's London Programme around 2000

 

21 January 2002, at the Atomium, Brussels, and below, my American students walking into one or other of the EU buildings

 

In 2005 enrolled to study for a doctorate at the University of Westminster's Centre for the Study of Democracy, with the title 'dynamics of European integration'

In New York, December 2005, I was giving a paper on the European Union. This is Alex Gourevitch who organised the 'Sovereignty and Its Discontents' workgroup in America, with the veteran political scientist Andrew Arato, who was a little surprised at the 'Eurosceptic' note in my paper
