SCHLICK, Moritz, (1882-1936). German philosopher of the Vienna Circle. Professor at Vienna (1922-36); a Logical Empirist; a leader of group of Positivist philosophers known as the Vienna Circle. Author of Raum und Zeit in der gegenwärtigen Physik (1917), Allgemeine Erkenntnislehre (1918), Fragen der Ethik (1930), Grundzüge der Naturphilosophie (1948), Natur und Kultur (1952).
